The roofs are of natural thatching that is so commonly seen in Namibia. Our lodge offers you the amenities of a city hotel but in a rural setting. We offer a friendly and efficient service. The Damara people that work at iGowati are believed to be one of the first ancient groups to settle in Namibia and are of Bantu origin. They are friendly and helpful. Damarland and Khorixas have a slow African rhythm with friendly people and a welcoming environment to all guests visiting our town and lodge.

We have 29 en-suite rooms equipped with telephones/fans and coffee/tea making facilities. Our restaurant offers and ala-carte menu as well as buffets for large groups and our bar are open during the day. At night the Aba’s khab traditional group entertains our guests and Mr. Michael Doeseb cultural historian shares some interesting facts about the Damara people and their traditions most evenings.

We have a swimming pool to cool off in and our curio shop have some of the interesting arts of Damaraland and the rest of Namibia. We also offer some necessities to travelers and campers.

Daytrips can be organized to all sights in our area at a reasonable price and includes an air-conditioned vehicle, guide/driver, lunch packs and soft drinks. At the reception we are willing to organize trips and do bookings for you at other lodges.
